As the Psychological Services Director, you will be responsible to plan, coordinate, implement, and direct behavioral
health services for residents of the Minnesota Veterans Home – Minneapolis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide leadership and direction to the Behavioral Health Services Department and to the facility to ensure
residents receive timely, necessary and quality therapeutic services.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for the Behavioral Health Services Department.
• Provide supervision to a Psychologist, Behavioral Analysts, and practicum students.
• Oversee and recommend formal and informal staff education pertaining to the mental health needs of the
residents.
• Other duties and assignments requested/directed by Administration/Leadership team.
The Minneapolis Home is located on Minnehaha Avenue, which has connecting highways and public
transportation options for an easy commute. The beautiful 53-acre wooded campus includes mature oak and
pine trees, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Mississippi River.

Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must be licensed to practice psychology in the state of Minnesota; OR be currently licensed to
practice psychology in another state and must obtain licensure in Minnesota prior to appointment.
In addition, you must meet the education and experience described below:
• Doctorate in clinical psychology (Ph.D. or Psy. D); AND
• At least two years professional experience conducting assessments on a psychiatric or mental health
population; AND
• One-year post-license experience.
In addition to the above, applicants must also have:
• Supervisory experience, preferably in a mental health setting.
Preferred Qualifications
• Three or more years of post-license experience.
• Experience working as a licensed mental health professional in a skilled nursing facility.
• Experience as a department supervisor.

This position requires successful completion of the following:

• A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
• A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top
