Pay: $32.846 - $40.678, DOQ
$0.25 per hour increase for Class A CDL 
Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Benefit Eligible, Union Position

Join the City of Eagan as a Forestry Maintenance Worker, where your urban forestry, landscape, and horticulture experience will bring our green spaces to life!
In this position, you will support the planning, enhancement, and long-term care of public landscapes and natural areas— installing new plantings, caring for trees, managing invasive species, and coordinating the safe removal of diseased or hazardous trees. You will also ensure residents receive accurate, helpful guidance by serving as a knowledgeable resource for landscape and tree-related inquiries.
Seasons change, so do responsibilities - your skills set will extend to snow control and seasonal park upkeep. Providing work direction to seasonal staff comes with the territory; you’ll help ensure the effective implementation of planting and maintenance projects.

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a two-year technical or vocational degree in Landscaping, Urban Forestry, Forest Resource Management, Horticulture, Park maintenance, or a closely related field, OR four years of a demonstrated combination of equivalent knowledge gained through a similar work experience.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (Interstate, Category 1 or 2) with air brake and tank endorsement within 180 days of hire.
